Scripture Reading: 1 Chronicles 28
When David desired to build a temple for God, God told him no. Because David was a man of war who had shed blood, the honor of building the temple would fall to his son Solomon instead. David received this graciously and, rather than sulking, devoted himself to gathering all the provisions Solomon would need for the work. Then he charged his son with these words in 1 Chronicles 28:20:
And David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God—my God—will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord." (NKJV)
Solomon had enormous shoes to fill, so it is understandable that his father needed to strengthen him with words of encouragement. In the same way, God may bring you into something so big, so well organized, and so structured that you feel someone better and more experienced should have been chosen instead. But there is no need for anxiety. God will make every resource available, and He will equip you with grace when you come into His presence to ask.
The Bible says in Hebrews 4:16:
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (NKJV)
However big the project or assignment may be, if God has brought you into it, embrace it and obtain the grace to carry it out successfully. Perhaps you have decided to take a leap into a new profession or into entrepreneurship—prayerfully take whatever risk you need to take, and draw grace from God. Let every business idea, creative gift, invention, and innovation within you find full expression while you are on earth, so that you can die empty. Fulfill your destiny and do everything God has placed in your heart to do. There is no need for anxiety.
Memory Verse: Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (NKJV)
