Scripture Reading
Matthew 11:28–30; John 10:27; Romans 10:13
A young man was driving home when his father called several times. Tired and distracted, he ignored the first two calls. When he finally answered, his father warned him not to use the old bridge because heavy rain had damaged it.
What seemed like an interruption was actually a warning meant to protect him.
Jesus is also calling people today, but many are too busy, distracted or unwilling to listen.
Alan Allegra once described how his home telephone greeting included the words of Jesus:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”—John 14:6, NKJV
Some callers would hang up as soon as they heard the name of Jesus.
People still do this spiritually. Jesus speaks through His Word, the conviction of the Holy Spirit, sermons and godly counsel, yet many ignore His call.
Jesus Is Calling You, Please Don't Hang Up on Jesus!
Jesus calls the weary:
“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”—Matthew 11:28, NKJV
He calls sinners to repentance, forgiveness and a new life. You do not have to fix yourself before coming to Him. You only need to respond with faith.
Jesus also calls believers to follow Him daily.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”—John 10:27, NKJV
Following Jesus means listening when He corrects, directs or asks us to surrender something. His voice will always agree with Scripture and lead us towards truth, holiness and obedience. There is power in obeying God's instruction. READ The Power of Obeying God's Instructions for powerful insights and inspiration
Jesus Will Not Reject You
People may ignore, disappoint or abandon you, but Jesus will never turn away anyone who sincerely comes to Him.
“The one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.”—John 6:37, NKJV
Perhaps He is calling you to salvation, repentance, forgiveness or renewed fellowship with Him.
Do not delay your response. Jesus is calling, don’t hang up on Jesus. Answer His call; engage in personal evangelism and soul winning, fulfil the great commission.
Memory Verse
“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”—Romans 10:13, NKJV
Before you pray the prayer points examine your heart, do you need to truly surrender to Jesus and make Him the Lord of your life, and secure your place in eternity? Or you are a believer but you drifted away for some reason? You can rededicate your life to Jesus today and He will accept you, forgive your sins, and clean your slate and begin a new journey with Christ. Pray the Salvation Prayer out loud, and mean it. SALVATION PRAYER

Father, thank You for calling me into a relationship with You.
Forgive me for the times I have ignored Your voice or delayed obedience.
Help me to recognise Your voice through Scripture and the Holy Spirit.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
